Cultural exchange

In March, 2010 the Talented in Theatre Arts students of Mc-Donogh 35 traveled to France to perform “Ain’t Misbehavin” as a part of the French Festival Banlieues Bleues. They were accompanied on stage by students from the middle school Jean Vilar of La Courneuve and from the Conservatoire à Rayonnement régional d’Aubervilliers la Courneuve.

As a part of this cultural exchange, twelve French singers, selected from the most talented of the school chorus, will visit Louisiana from June 7 to 11, 2010 Like in 2009, they will take part in a music and song training course under the direction of Louisiana musician and director Troy R. Poplous. This working week will enable them to discover the stages of production of musicals such as they are considered in the United States.

They will present the results of the artistic workshops to the public, on Friday June 11, 2010.
